JoSAA 2026 Counselling Overview
Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will conduct centralized counselling for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs based on JEE Main and JEE Advanced 2026 scores.
Expected Timeline
- Registration Opens: June 2026 (after JEE Advanced results)
- Round 1 Allotment: Late June 2026
- Total Rounds: 6 regular + 2 special rounds

- 23 IITs (JEE Advanced qualifiers only)
- 31 NITs
- 26 IIITs
- 33 GFTIs

- JEE Main/Advanced scorecard
- Class 10 & 12 marksheets and certificates
- Category certificate (if applicable)
- PwD certificate (if applicable)
- Aadhaar card
- Passport size photographs
- Income certificate (for fee waiver)
Seat Matrix Highlights
Total seats available through JoSAA: 55,000+ across all participating institutes. New supernumerary seats have been added for female candidates in IITs.
