UPSC CSE Prelims 2026 Update
The Union Public Service Commission has extended the registration deadline for Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026 by one week, giving aspirants additional time to apply.

- Extended Last Date: March 5, 2026
- Prelims Exam Date: May 25, 2026
- Number of Vacancies: 1,000+ (approx)
Exam Pattern
- Paper I (GS): 100 questions, 200 marks, 2 hours
- Paper II (CSAT): 80 questions, 200 marks, 2 hours (qualifying)
- Negative marking: 1/3rd for wrong answers

- Revise current affairs from last 12 months thoroughly
- Focus on NCERT books for static portions
- Practice previous year papers (last 10 years)
- Avoid starting new topics; consolidate what you know
